Not sure if it is real Caphalon or an imitation. Only one lid is stamped with the logo and none of the handles are authentic (look like cheap metal and not the smooth stainless steel) as are my other pots. Buyer beware!

Ordered as a housewarming gift for my best friend as they moved into a new house. I have two Calphalon skillets that are perfect, hence the gift. These dont work as well and I dont know why. I actually flew up and spent two days with them. Rice sticks, meat sticks, eggs stick. They are not happy and wont use the pans anymore. I am sorry that I bought this set

They look nice and the price is good. I read a lot of reviews on these before I bought them. A lot of people said everything sticks to them ... but then there were a lot of people that said that those people don't know how to cook with the pots and pans and led into instructions on how to cook properly with them. So I bought them because I thought I could cook properly with them and EVERYTHING STICKS TO THEM. In the month I have used these I have followed all the directions: I cook everything on low (surprisingly food does cook fast on low with these) and hand wash them with soft sponges. Yet everything still sticks to these. Oh and there really isn't any lids in the set that fit the pans ... usually the lids are universal in sets like these to fit the pots and pans ... not this set. But they do work and it is a fairly inexpensive set. They look nice and they clean pretty easily.

I really didn't read all of the reviews before ordering this set (Calphalon Commercial 9-Piece Hard-Anodized Cookware Set).. I only got around to THAT the day after I ordered the item. The more I read, the more I worried. This set was to replace a raft of old Circulon pots/pans that have been around forever, and the non-stick wasn't anywhere near as good as when I first purchased them back in the early nineties.. and what I didn't need was bunch of new stuff (however new it was) that was duplicating the problem I already had.
I determined to just write it off if the new guys were too difficult to use.. and I carefully noted all the bugaboos listed in the reviews. The package arrived last week.. and I broke out my eggs to use in the small sauté pan. I pre-heated the pan over medium heat, added some butter, dropped my stirred eggs into the pan.. and everything went PERFECTLY. Ditto on sautéed sausage.. I even browned my breaded pork chops to go into the oven afterward without a problem (there were a few bits on the bottom which I deglazed with wine..they came up like magic) The set-up of having to preheat each piece only adds a couple of minutes to the overall process of what you're making, and I do believe omitting this step affects how aggressively food adheres to the pan.
In terms of appearance after use: I find it's true that in the inventory of pots (not so much the pans) included in the set, you can tell they've been cooked in.. I've taken pains to make sure all oil and food residue is carefully washed off with a plastic scrub ball and rinsed well, but some discoloration does occur, but oh-my-goodness, they perform so well I can't bring myself to complain. They do exactly what I hoped they'd do.
1. You do NOT need special utensils (according to the pamphlet enclosed)
2. They can be soaked (according to the pamphlet enclosed)
3. The included information says nothing about not "stacking" them on top of each other. I don't know where that came from.
Anyhow, I love the set and so far am totally satisfied.. and less than $170!!

Don't listen to all the negative reviews. If you notice, most folks that give it a high rating seem to know a bit more about cooking...or they have the patience to learn how to use non-stick cookware. There really isn't anything to learn but if you are lazy, rush your cooking and don't know how to clean up cookware.. I guess you'd give this a bad review. Preheat your cookware, use butter or an olive oil mister, have patience and make sure you don't go flipping your food too often and too soon. The food will give when it's ready and has crusted or cooked a bit. Clean up is a no brainer. Soak it and come back.. you can even use hard core scrubbers on this stuff. Don't expect it to look all pretty and new if you ACTUALLY USE your cookware. They may achieve a white glaze, get scratched a bit.. but those are the scars of using a pot... and a pan. Buy the nice copper stuff if you need to put on a show...and never cook and go out alot. Otherwise this stuff rocks. They are not as heavy as the old line, but I'm not melting gold and lead in mine so who cares. I have them both and like them both. If you see a good sale on these and can learn not to rush your cooking...BUY THEM before they are gone. The new lines will slowly push the old school stuff out.. and then all the lazy non stick folks won't have to worry..:)

I ordered this for my sister who wanted new cookware, but nothing treated for non-stick. The price was great and I held my breath until she received it and tried it out. She loves it! No problems with sticking food and clean up has been easy. She doesn't have a dishwasher so those concerns are moot. She likes the feel of the handles and the fit of the lids. While she hasn't put it in the oven yet, she doesn't anticipate any problems. This is my third purchase for her sight unseen and I seem to be batting 1000.

These pans are good enough for the price I paid. I was replacing a set that I loved, but were no longer available, so it is not the quality of my last set that was 34 years old, but they are good enough. I like that it has enough lids to go around and trade off with pans I'm not using.

I like the pots ok. Trouble is that the inside bottom marks and they won't come off even after using the dishwasher. I hope it does not affect the food. It is almost like the lining of the pot is coming off. Other than that they work fine on my new ceramic top stove.

I'm glad I listened to another reviewer. I was going to get the less expensive Cuisinart, and he said for a few extra bucks to get this one. I absolutely love this cookware set. I use medium to low heat and everything turns out great. I've had to do minimal cleaning too. However, to keep the shine I'll use the Bar Keeper's Friend. The price at Amazon is fantastic. I've priced them in stores around here and on sale they go for $150.

This was a wonderful investment. We bought our first Presto salad shooter about 5yrs ago and it still works good. We make 500 - 1,000 egg rolls at a time and with only 1 salad shooter it took a very long time to shredd cabbage, carrots, and onion. I like this popper because it's quick, and makes a large bowl of popcorn without oil. Or you could, of course, put in less popcorn and make a small amount. Very few kernels are left un-popped. It's good value for the price, even if you only occasionally want some oil-free popcorn. The microwave packets are useful, but I prefer my popcorn unadulterated and if I want butter, I'd rather it be fresh.
The negatives are pretty minor. The butter melter/measure part of the top is not worth using for melting butter. I would rather just microwave some in the bowl first. It works, but requires clean up, and I'd rather not. If you don't melt butter in the top piece, clean up is a snap.
My other minor complaint is with storage. The top can quite easily topple off, not while in use, but when trying to put the device up on a shelf.
So, minor complaints, and as I said, I really missed it when it was gone. If you like popcorn, this is a good choice of air poppers.

Really works well, getting just about every kernel I throw in it. Much healthier and cheaper than microwave popcorn, and just about as quick.

I've had this popper for a month now and have made quite a few batches of popcorn now. I read all the reviews before I bought it and wasn't sure what to expect. I noticed that either people loved it or hated it. Now that I've used it many times I'm at a total loss as to why someone wouldn't give this anything other then 5 stars. Popcorn flying all over the kitchen? I don't find that to be true. The only thing I have is popped corn delivered to the waiting bowl. Un-popped kernels? I'd say that over 99% of the kernels pop when I use it. Gourmet popcorn required? I'm using the cheapest popcorn I could find and it pops just fine.
I don't get it. I guess some people just can't get anything right. You'd have to be a real moron not to be able to use this popper and get excellent results.
I'd recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this knowing that it was the same size as a standard (not Hungry Man) size frozen TV dinner. For the price this is incredible! The plate itself is indestructible and can even go in an oven up to 400 degrees. My two three year old loves tv dinners, but they are not very healthy so I make my own dinners with healthier choices and he does not really know the difference. Someone mentioned that the lid does not stay on. I must have received a better batch. Mine snaps on snugly and stays on until I want to take it off. You do noeed to make sure the lip of the lid is on all the way around the plate to work correctly.

There's not much more that I can say about this than what's already been said by other reviewers, except to say that the actual INSIDE dimensions of this plate are 8 1/8" X 6 3/8" X 3/4" Deep. And like other reveiwers, I agree that you'll need to use a rubber band or 2 to hold the lid on. I own a lot of microwaveware by this company and this just isn't up to their former standards -- if you're looking for a little entree plate this will do, just don't tip it or you'll end up with everything mixed together.

I like the fact that I can use this in the oven or microwave, because microwave food sometimes is not so appealing. However these are not so good for freezing. The lids don't fit so securely, no matter how many times I put them on, and my food gets freezer burn constantly. But for reheating there very nice.

These are great plates. They have a nice raised lip so my lunch doesn't catapult off the plate, and they wash up easily. I would like them a bit better if they were dishwasher safe, but overall I am satisfied.

I love this product for making egg whites...I buy them at the grocery store in those little milk carton like containers so it is super easy to just pour some in and microwave them for 90 seconds. Would definitely recommend!!! I liked it so much I just went and bought one for my friend as well :)

I take a small bowl, mix two large eggs with a splash of milk (don't over beat it, just get it mixed well) and pour it into the gray side of the container. Close the lid, and microwave it for a minute and a half (our microwave says it's 850 watts if that helps). The steam will cause a little bit of popping noise here and there. Some steam might shoot out from under the lid and onto the bottom of the microwave, but I haven't had any issues with egg splattering inside the microwave.
Before opening the thing, I flip it over and give it a gentle shake so the egg falls into the lid. Then I open it up and flip the egg onto some bread. This way I have better aim to get the egg on the bread instead of shaking it over the bread to get the egg out of the cooker. Not that its hard to get out, but that little bit of a shake can make your egg land off center of the bread. I'm just OCD enough that my egg must be centered. This thing is small enough that you can set your bread or muffin on top of the cooked egg and then flip.
As far as cleaning goes... a little bit of egg will be stuck to the inside of the cooker, but it's not baked on hard. It cleans out easily enough. Just wipe the egg out and toss the thing in the dishwasher. I haven't tried using cooking spray in it yet, but you might want to try it if you want this to be even easier to clean out.
It's just a nice, handy little microwave container that's really inexpensive. The way I do it, it makes a nice thick fluffy disc of egg which is perfect for making sandwiches. It's hot enough when you first take it out of the microwave that if you throw a slice of cheese on there it will melt enough to be tasty. It doesn't taste the same as frying an egg in a pan on the stove, but it's not supposed to, and it's not going to, and it's healthier than frying anyway.
Nordic Ware also makes a microwave egg broiler which can hard boil 4 eggs at a time in the microwave. If you like to hard boil eggs (or even soft boil them too) I would also recommend that product.

This is very handy indeed and works like a charm. I'm not really sure what the problem was with Penmouse's cooker, but this one closes perfectly and leaves absolutely zero mess in the microwave. Not only that, but the cookware itself cleans up very easily. The egg literally just peels right out of the dish, which makes it very simple to use and is an added bonus when making your breakfast sandwich.
It does fit a muffin perfectly, but also just plain toasted bread. It is about the size of a piece of lunch meat.
I've added all kinds of veggies to it with great success, although if you add a lot of extras you should only use one egg instead of two, otherwise it will reach over the lip of the dish. You could experiment yourself just to be sure. It also warns you that any meat you wish to add should be cooked before cooking the egg because the cooking time for an egg is much faster than meat.
You can use two eggs but I would recommend that if you are using jumbo eggs, or adding a lot of extras, that you mix it in a bowl prior to putting it in the cookware dish. Two jumbo eggs alone nearly reach the lip of the dish, so it will get messy when trying to beat the eggs (but only when beating, not cooking). A bowl is a simple solution and works perfectly.
When using two jumbo eggs alone (with a little milk), the cooked eggs are light and fluffy and about an inch thick. It really does make an excellent breakfast sandwich.
This is my first Nordic Ware purchase and I've always stayed away from microwave cooking, but you can be assured that I'll start microwaving more often and I'll definitely be making more Nordic Ware purchases. I had no idea how easy this was.

I wasn't expecting much when I purchased this egg poacher. I was very glad to see it was a lot more useful then I imagined. It's prefect sized to just go over the edge of and english muffin. I've found I can put omlette topping in it and that works well too. Recently I've started back dieting to lose 15 lbs and it's been super! I can make an mock eggs benedict from start to on the plate in 1.5 min. (3 egg whites,1/2 an english muffin, and d. mustard) at meager 100 cal!) It's super for anyone who doesn't have much time for breakfast but, needs a hearty protein in the morning.
The eggs do stick a little. If I scrub them out right away, there hardly a complaint I could make.

UPDATE MARCH 26: I discovered if I place a small microwave-safe plate on top of the egg cooker the lids stays down. No more egg flying all over the place. I used the egg cooker this morning for a couple of egg sandwiches and it worked perfectly. I do prick the egg with a fork before cooking and then cook the egg using our microwave oven egg poaching cycle. Turns out perfectly cooked every time.
The Eggs 'n Muffin pan works as advertised and the egg does come out in the perfect shape for a homemade egg breakfast sandwich. Unfortunately the top of the egg maker does not stay closed while cooking. Bits of egg spattered around the microwave oven cavity which meant I had to wipe the interior down.
Other than that, this little gadget works as advertised.
